It was either a security or fire panel, with the light indicating a sensor was tripped or malfunctioning. There was most likely a speaker as well, probably silenced so it wasn't constantly screaming.

I love how people say they hate images such as this however they managed to look long enough to make a comment. Face it...this is what we all become in time.

Thanks, wanderer, they made sure you knew not to trespass there, as every boarded up window has a sign stating such. Poor girl is rapidly falling apart, even more so than before.
