The abstract shape of the hole in the window is like some angular stylized profile of a guy w/ a spiky haircut. Just noticed that.

Why's everything all blue in there? Not necissarily a bad thing but i noticed like all of the shots from this location are blue. Is that intentional? Unnavoidable perhaps?

Once a friend fo mine was shooting w/ a digital point and shoot and accidentally had it set to tungsten light and everything was blue in the pics as a result. Reminds me of that.

Reminds me of a Ken Burns documentary shot for some reason. That is a good thing, I assure you.

I agree with you totally OL. It took me over 20 years to do the one everyone's bitching about. I cried incessantly over and over for two decades until I looked around and saw it was for naught. Out of boredom, I finally caved and made one. I would never do this anywhere else for any reason.

Yes, you can see all three "W" buildings from the Roosevelt Blvd. This happens to be the rear of one.

The tunnels connect EVERY building in the complex. Some are above ground and some are underground.

The old section of Byberry are all of the buildings with sloped slate roofs. The newrr ones all have flat roofs and an institutional feel. The slate-roofs appear to almost replicate alpine cottages.

The "C" buildings are in horrible shape and pretty dangerous to boot. The "N"s are half a century newer.

It's in the old part of the complex, directly across the courtyard from the infirmary building, C-14. It's the old maintenance. If you'd like to see a map of the entire complex, go to this link:

just found yuor site and gotta say the stuff is awsome. I dig what you do w/ the color in these. The composition reminds me a bit of some shots from The X-files, when the series was still good. Rawk on.

Yeah Tim, I've been in every one including six others that were knocked down in the 80's and 90's. I'd like to say I've been in every room too but I do believe I've missed a few.

Sorry, but you are looking at the Catskills. The Adirondacks are much further north. Regardless, your pix are great -- many thanks.
