LOL Wanderer, I admit to muting the sound, the second time I watched it. The guys did capture some great video.

Occupational Therapy is some kind of hobby or work that would help the patient acquire a skill for a job when released from the hospital. Back in the day, this typically involved basket weaving, sewing, shoe making, mechanical repair, farming, etc. If the products weren't used at the hospital, the institution would often sell them to supplement funding.

The actual treatment itself seemed to be performed in a smaller room with a red door. I would imagine this area had beds / stretchers and allowed the patients to recover.

Looks like it was at some point, a long time ago. I think Devin's comment is pretty spot-on.

I was lucky enough to tour part of the hospital during a visit to the Medical Records Department. I worked at a different facility in Lansing and came to see how different YSH was, and boy, was it!! Such a shame these old facilities were torn down. Whenever I'm down that way now, I look off to where the grounds once were and remember what a magnificent place it was!

I have to say I'm laughing instead of mad. The once-mighty sheetheads reduced to graffiti in an abandoned school. How powerless can you get? If it wasn't for random chance of you being here literally nobody would even see it...didn't even have the courage to spraypaint a wall in public.
