My parents and brother have a couple chairs like this one. They inherited them from my grandparents. Sturdy, attractive and comfortable. One of those things they just don't make like they used to.

I used to do yard work for Dr. & Mrs. Curtis!! I grew up 2 houses down from them! When I was a kid, every time that I went to the main hospital, I used to toss a quarter into the fountain!! A few years ago, I went into the old main hospital for business purposes. It still had that same ol' medicinal smell buy was eerie how quiet it was.

Thanks for posting the pictures.

I'm sad you came to my city, Motts, and I didn't know. This is one of my favorite places to go, take photos and reflect. LOTS of our local famous are buried here!!

i bet whoever would be relaxed taking a bath in that "lone bathtub" would also be comfy sitting in this chair

haha, first comment! (and it's MY first comment ever)

I'm in awe of your photography and envious of your explorations, Motts. I hope you keep it up for a long time, so that we can live vicariously through you.

You make it possible for us to look at a picture like this and imagine what it must have been like to walk through that door way...

This is incredible...it's like at the Ellis Island Museum. Maybe Motts can get into the old Sanitatium before they fix it up. That is like one of my ultimate dreams....to walk through an abandoned place like Motts does. Just simply incredible.

It is insane to me that remains of a human being were allowed to be left behind like that. Reminds us lucky ones of the (lack of) value placed on people.
