solitary confinement? no windows? no light? not nice in any way shape or form.......
I used to really hate swimming pool floor areas like around and inside the changing rooms...all wet and sometimes dirty and people walkin around in bare feet...this photo makes me feel a bit sick...
No, it's wonderful that nature was used as a means of giving the patients some connection with the outside world. It may even have been done by one of the patients as art therapy. I love it
of course it's not fake! why shouldn't there be a panic button for staff? My mum worked in an institution where she cared for physically handicapped people and she was often attacked. Surely this is for such times?
Gets me why there's a full stop there though ;)
did anyone mention that this pattern is fleur de lyse? (How many times??? lol)
Motts, are those BARS housing patients? Looks like a prison....not good
Patricia, I agree. Where are you from? I'm from UK but live in Greece. Here, an abandoned building either gets pulled down or stays that way. Noone seems to understand the notion of renovation. Here in Salonika there are so many beautiful buildings just going to ruin. I wanna cry.
Lynne, your knowledge and compassion continue to impress me! I'm training to be an Art Therapist and your comments fascinate me. Thank you
Motts...great pics as I have said a zillion times before
love and understanding dont cost anything though....and they go a long way to helping children open up and heal. Shame that seclusion rooms were used instead.....what good it could have done, I really dont know
yes it does look like a figure looking out. May be a curtain hanging there? It's a great photo and that 'figure' is haunting.
loving those curtains! really!
perfection and beyond words!
That's just........well......er.....hmmmmmm....scrummy!
Oh Motts! I just choked on my chocolate cake....the sarcasm, the irony. Classic, classic. I mean, what else could you have possibly answered to a question like that? :)))
me too. thanks lynne
