That sort of looks like a vent leading to the next floor so that heat coming from the lower rooms could rise to the upper ones. idk.. just a guess. We used to have vents like that in our old house for that reason because there was no furnace upstairs. Except ours didnt latch like that... This is One of my favorite shots!
wow, lovely color my fave too!
Lol, ben of the jungle, what the heck would you do with a leg brace? I guess you could hang it on your wall or something...
Looks like a whimsical locale for a tea party!
Wow, its beautiful!!! And the whole place is in such good condition, you can tell sombody still cares about the place. =) That would be awesome if they like turned the place into a boarding house i would live there in a heartbeat. Of course im sure that thats very unlikely. Great shot Motts!
Lol nice Van Gogo! ^_^ Yah i cant believe one lil pick got sooo much attention. I think if i had to choose though, i would agree with Lynne and BSmarcia. Yes . Great gallery by the way Motts! Kudos.
The history on this place was so sad motts. those links you gave us in the begining of the gallery were really informative and fasinating. Thanks.
Love the curveature!! does that fence in the far right window have something to do with the prison??
Ooo i like! The curtains give it an erie glow.
Wow, that video was amazing, and so is that Henry!!! the part of the video when theyre interviewing him and you can hear the iron lung working... very... different. He has so much courage, i dont think i would have the strength to live like that.
God, these structures all have such beautifil windows and moldings, and theres looks to be alot of them still intact! I wish they wold save some of this before they demolish it and either use it to preserve the memory of the place or sell it in a state auction so people who love the structure could have a little piece of it before its gone forever.
WOAH! It does look like that silent hill scene. Great pic!
Aww... poor little window looks so alone. These shots with water and reflections really make me wonder what the places were like back in their day, how many people walked on those stairs, saw the same beauty in that window... the performers that were there, things like that. Bet they wouldnt have thought of this place looking flooded if they could see it again.
Ha ha the carpet is amazing in this place!! The swirly stuff looks like it would be sorta mesmerising for someone who would have to look at it 24/7
Wow i love the tile. Lol, does that bucket have a wad of hair tubling out of it!
