I have never heard of this place before i came upon this sight today. What a beautiful building, but very distressing on the inside. I understand motts that you break into the place to get your photos? Shame they dont open it up to public, or fix it up or something, to have it just lying in ruin makes no sence. I would love to hear from some of the poor people that have had to spend time there. Awesome pics motts

Thank you SO much for these pictures. I always wanted to know what this jail looked like, but was entirely too petrified to step foot in. Sadly it's gone now.

nice, but sad. that was some one's dream of fun for others and profit for them selves. kind of like looking at some ones life and the end of it.
sad and un used, soon to be gone and forgotten. I am not sure why this set hit me that way.
great pictures, but just left me feeling alot sad and empty...

ps that is an off hand compliment when you touch some one so deep with your photo's.

That's insane, it doesn't even look like it could have been drawn on, like its just a pattern in the paint.

nicce pics, sad if you think of the history of the tugs and men who once were crew on them. some of the comments are silly! they are put here to die not a big tragic accident. they are harming no one by sitting around you clown. maybe if folks didnt mess around on them they would not get hurt! bad parents answer for everything: instead of control the kid just take away everything form others. forced safety huh?
