I can imagine this floor collapsing suddenly with a thunderous roar & a cloud of dust with no one there to witness it.

Eastern State is the Holy Grail of abandoned buildings. I'm so envious.

I was 28 in 1985, had two kids, was working multiple paramedic jobs, and lived in Saint Albans, West Virginia. Today, the kids are grown & gone, my back is totally screwed up from working multiple paramedic jobs & I live in Cocoa, Florida. Buildings aint he only things that deteriorate with time.

With that mattress on the floor, it looks like some homeless folks used this space at one time. It would be horrific to spend the night in this damp, smelly, roach/rat infested hole.

I could have gone all day without seeing this. Yuck!

Such a waste. A lot of time & effort went into building these grand old structures & now here they sit abandoned. Time stops for nothing or no one. Thank you Motts for posting treasures for all to see.
