My great grandma worked there as a nurse. Nothing ever happened, just chinese whispers in regards to all the stories. Then i found out, she was hiding the truth so we wouldnt go there. Supposibly only 2 people that went in became a patient. They wereordinary people loving life. They say it was all in the mind. Another true fact: A young chick killed herself with her own bed sheets, this is probably a coincedance but in a past msg, someone heard a girl scream.. Who knows.. many more stories. Unfortunetly my g/ grandma past away but she had fear in her eyes everytime we mentioned the place...

I actually live in Exeter and its sad the number of kids who go here just looking for trouble. I am way too scared to go at night but kids go in to do drugs, get drunk, and just destroy the place. It is a lovely place but I wish you got a picture of the pool, that is truly a scary place to go. Even in the daytime...

i live right across the road from the hospital and its ace to see these pics. it is so sad that its all going to be knocked down. my mum and dad both worked in the hospitals for many years and i have so many memories of my dad taking me in there and meeting some of the patients, and of growing up, hanging out with my mates in the grounds. i have lived here all my life (22 years) its so sad to see it go :-(
