Are those grounds tours still going on? I'd love to see this place in person!

Lynne is absolutely right, there's nothing vicious about the ball pit - I think its the setting surrounding it that is wrong.

This place looks A LOT like this one park located in Wisconsin Dells I believe (or is there an Enchanted Forest there? or was there...?) Anyways, I probably was there when I was three, I remember the statues and stuff that looked just like this...and those feet and the cage...it was like the exact same thing was there.

Kevin, I don't think Motts wants the site locations known (see below the submit comment button), for safety/legal reasons and stuff. But its up to him, so I don't know if he will tell you or not. I guess I'd say I doubt it.

In the case Ed described, I think its acceptable - and at least he didn't put something grotesque or profane. There can sometimes be exceptions to every rule.

Wow, those sinks bring back memories! Yep, had those in gradeschool, so they were still around some places as recent as 8 -10 years ago. Always thought they were kinda neat.

Beautiful. Looks like something you'd find in a bank from the Old West.

Yeah, in this shot the building doesn't really even look abandoned, save for a few pebbles on the floor. Very interesting!

You're absolutely right, silkster. And look at the drop-off on the left side. If one were to slip...
I understand that not having the tub so low to the ground could make it easier for staff to bathe patients, but it just seems careless.

Yes, there is a very wide audience. I myself am 18, but I happen to know that there are many older people that view your pictures as well. Some have worked at these abandoned places back in their "hey-day." I for one would most certainly buy a book containing these photos. I have looked at bookstores but seen nothing, so this book would be quite a well sought after novelty. Perhaps Lynne should give commentary! ; ) I know in some other posts it was discussed she should publish her info in a book!

Yeah they are found in hospital rooms too, especially surgery recovery rooms. When my grandfather was in the hospital for surgery 2 weeks ago, I sat in one of these (he didn't need it, he was in the bed, I'm not that mean!) and they are pretty comfortable...but not when you are stuck in a place like this with no one by your side.
