Motts, it isn't fair to include pictures like this. Now we all want to know what is on the otherside of the door and no body can tell us.

In Alabama we are still at only around $3.45 per pack. I want to open a place that requires that you be a smoker to come in. Make a private club for smokers only. Your pass to get in would be that you smoke in front of the doorman/woman or you can't enter (keeps out fakers)

I'm with CrazyGuy... I hope the connecting room has a doorway leading to the outside. I also hope they get to this point before the smoke / fire is too bad considering the sign appears to be made of wood and has no lighting source.

I believe the answer to the "how do you open it question would logically be that the doors are weighted or hung a certain way as to alow it to swing easily once unlocked or that since a skeleton key was used mabey a slight pull would do the trick. I find it interesting that the lock cover has 6 flathead screws in it and if removed the inner workings of the lock would be exposed.

I thought Mott said they brought people here from England because they were being mistreated. Wouldn't being put in this tiny little room be cruel and unusual punishment. In the US our prisoners have rooms bigger than this.

The center looks like an "A" at first glance but if you look closer you can see what appears to be a pick or shovel and a compass. Masonic?

looks like he is doing, having or teaching a frontal lobotomy the old fashioned way...

they used to shock the patient using EST until the seizures caused them to pass out then before they could completely awaken, the doctor hammered these things that looked like icepicks under the top eyelids then moved them rapidly and violently around in the front lobe of the brain. When the patient came to, they never remembered a thing and amazingly this treatment helped many patients but not supprizingly killed many as well. Sometimes preformed with and sometimes without patient or family consent.

I'm sure when they left here they weren't worried about this but, seeing as i have a young child can't help but think..."Please remove the doors from things like this".
