I agree with Thad alot of the clients could walk around the campus and were free to do as they wished. They were also taken on trips, to sporting events and concerts, etc. From what I witnessed the staff did treat them like family. I did work direct care and my clients were wonderful most didn't have any family that visited them at all. When they were put into the community they were put into neighborhood where people were afraid of them and acted as if they were lepers.

What imaginations you people have, there was no blood room I think you all watch too many horror stories. The looked cages kept supplies and medication when I worked there.

I worked here for many years and the dormitories were not set up with beds just lining the walls. It was set up like individual rooms. You people have quite the imaginations. Also, I never in my years there so anyone mistreated or abused. On the contrary most of the workers cared deeply for the people they were taking care of.

I am going there today. I hope I don't end up a statistic.
