"Baphomet is the name of the the goat-headed Satan in the pentegram-symbol of Satanism."
No it isn't. The sign used by Lavey satanism is called the sigil of baphomet and is not related to satan at all. Lavey decided to incorporate the sigil by influence of the Occulstist Eliphas Levi.
The whole concept of Baphomet is not known with certainty but it's never related to satan or a representation of satan.
One last thing, Satan was not invented by the christian church.
P.S: This drawing I guess is supposed to create a horror-like atmosphere to the people of back then, which in my guess were mostly religious. What a way to start a ride don't you think?
