No problem Lynne, those who have worked or lived inside these places are the only true testament as to what really occurred... the rest of us (including myself) can only read publications and infer as to what happened from the clues amid the ruins left behind. The state usually auctions off equipment when these hospitals close, because they own the place. If it's antiquated or in poor shape they will let it rot away until demoliton begins.

There were quite a few machines that have been removed in this kitchen, and much of the new medical building has been stripped of anything of value by the owner.

Seriously though, this was taken at a time when there wasn't much security, and the place was littered with footprints already, look at them all. I'm glad I went in the winter, the place turned pretty ugly in just a few months.

It's pretty big... this shot doesn't include the giant medical building, ward buildings, doctor's homes, and the new psychiatric facility up on the hill back there (you can just see the tops of the buildings in this photo).
