I too love the pattern of cracks in the paint on the wall! It almost looks like an art-deco kind of wallpaper. :)

Mr. Motts, now haven't I told you many times to pick up your books and put them back on the shelf when you are done with them???

(Heehee!)
YAY! I think Mr. Motts heard our moans of despair for another gallary! :D

The walls almost have a greenish-blue hue to them...very spooky and mysterious and even sad.
I agree with Mike. I love this gallary, though I would like to see more insides of the houses if you have them. You show such destruction and beauty all in the same picture...THAT is talent.

Maybe if these structures were demolished and left alone, then in the future as people maybe move back to the area (I know that is a very optomistic thought) then more houses can be built and the Ward will flourish again.

Good job Mr. Motts, but shame on you for making us wait so long. :-P
(Just kidding...I was going through withdrawals!!)
Ephemera: Desire
Creepy, yet beautiful too. Some of those dates are OLD...wow.

Great shots. :)
Good point Claudia...I never thought of that. Nice to have someone who maybe has a little more experience with things like that.

And that makes it sound less "creepy" doesn't it?
Poor nvusofmotts (I JUST got your name...envious of Motts right?)...

I had to LOL at your comment though...I can just picture a skinny nerdling of a kid hanging there going "hello?? helllloooo??" lol!!
LOL Matt...yeah they are a bunch of arseholes (sorry--I don't usually cuss) and I watch them just so I can bash on them.

I wanted to add about this picture that the horsie actually looks like it was trying to get away, but gave up and ended up just where it is...defeated and depressed.

Oh dear...that is depressing now isn't it?
Yah Matt!

I love that name btw. I wanted to name one of our children that, but hubby wouldn't let me...party pooper. :D

I love how the trees stand out in stark contrast to the sky. :)
LOL so true Matt--looks like something my 6 year old would dream up lol. :)

I noticed the lack of soap dispenser shots in this gallary...=-o
I like how the blue on the wall kind of compliments the green of the...whatever that thing is. The colors really POP at you don't they?
I have to admit, when you first look at it, it DOES look like "THIRT", but then if you look again really close, you can see that the "T" part is just a smudge and that letter is an "N" LOL...

How neat...it is almost like a puzzle!
@ Matt
Yeah! I see that...I never noticed that until now. I wonder if that was a sign now or just something else.

Got me wondering. :)
Yeah Matt---or that horrid orange or pepto pink. :D
Yeah...it makes you think doesn't it Jackie? I wonder if there were different levels of "disabled" children in this facility, as in some that weren't as "helpless" as others that may have had some serious behavior problems, making these kind of cards necessary.

Whew that was a LONG sentence. I need to go rest my fingers now...and read my daughter's Highlights magazine now. :D
Hey Kathy--thanks for that! Poor Poor Stanley...

I guess being flat has its advantages...you can slip through VERY thin cracks to get away from someone...

I don't mind your tangents Kathy...Tangent away. :)
