This almost looks like a painting or something--it looks so surreal, almost like that is a portal to another dimension where everything is a glowing yellow color!
Der...are you sure it wasn't from some little animal being DRAGGED by some larger...and *gulp* more...dangerous (laughs nervously) animal laying there waiting...in...the (quietly)...dark?
Nice pattern to the paint on the wall here as it flakes off. I love the light at the top of the stairway and how it almost makes the top of the stairway look as if it is on fire. :)
That is really cool. My 3-1/2 year old daughter said "Mama...that looks like a big lizard coming up the steps!" LOL! Leave it to a preschooler to have such an imagination. :)
Why is the paint here flaking off instead of peeling off in sheets like in some of the other pictures you have on here Mr. Motts? Any ideas? Is it because of the type of paint used?
EEEECH! That poor animal! It does look like a very mal-nourished possum. I've seen my share of dead critters in my day but this just takes the cake how it is in the middle of a mass of hair and whatever-else like it is.
I feel bad for it. Did it smell really bad Mr. Motts??
Oooh. I would LOVE to have this room as my bedroom...der, but not in THIS building thanks. I just want to get my scissors out and cut the ceiling on the dotted line!! :D
Well this almost looks as if it were used yesterday!! The walls and ceiling and floors are in really good shape here.
I can imagine the one fire extinguisher saying "I AM THE CHAMPION!!" The way the second one is laying makes me think of a gladiator fight for some reason!
Blah I HATE pigeons (reason too long to write here)...filthy lousy rats with wings they are...and that is an insult to rats, which I don't mind.
I love this shot because of how almost claustrophobic it makes you feel. The hallway appears to narrow down to a single slit of light because of the open doors. VERY cool. The ceiling does seem to be in pretty good shape. It looks like right in the foreground and to the left, right at the edge of the picture, that there is a hole or something in it, but the rest looks dang good.
It looks like someone stripped the walls down to the bare wood.
It is hard to tell if it is the same room as you can't see the view out of the window in the top (the now) picture to compare it with the scene you can sort of see out of the window in the bottom (the then) picture.
I love how the cracks in the paint in the first room make it almost look like trees growing in the room...and then the other room looks like just what the title says: fire. :) Very warm-looking.
Forest and volcanoes...Parks and buildings on fire...
Is that a HOLE in the back of the sink or is that just rust? Use some heavy-duty cleanser and some elbow grease and you've got yourself a pretty nice-lookin' sink! :)
Very surreal indeed.
