Nice to see your post Stax.. I think the Halcyon groupies including myself are fearful we will log in one day and Halcyon will be gone. We all know it will eventually happen. We realize it is much to late to save the old mansion. The architecture is compelling. Most will feel kind of cheated if we log in one day, and discover Halcyon is gone under the cover of winter when most are preoccupied with day to day issues. Stax, take care man.

I wonder if any student year books have ever surfaced ? 50's, 60's, 70s, would be especially interesting. I keep checking ebay but no luck so far. I realize many of the students were very affluent. VHS/Betamax was still very expensive in the late 1970's, maybe some courses like Speech or debate were videotaped for some glimpses of what it looked like then?

Yes Mica it is quite the thread. Mr. Motts posted these photos in July of 2004. March 2015 will be 10 years since the first viewer post. Thank You, Mr. Motts!!

Wanderer glad you enjoyed the vid. They were mos. def. in the furnace room early on. I do not know if the heating plant is in the basement or "sub-basement". The footage looks like they followed the same path as the older "Andy's World" video. Makes me think they followed the safer, least obstructed trail? Maybe the only safe path left? Maybe we will hear from Celeste and Ratchet ?

The phone numbers on the score sheet are interesting with the prefix Wabash and Spring 92x-xxxx and 77x-xxxx respectively. The old "telephone exchanges" were replaced by area codes all over the U.S. by 1966 much earlier on the east coast and inside the "rust belt". Nice New Gallery. Thanks!

Iceberg, try utube search for "abandoned school for girls", "halcyon hall", "Bennett school". Celeste thanks for posting, I look forward to your links! There is also one that searching "abandoned school for girls back. will show the courtyard side of the building. In addition to what Celeste has found for us. Folks refer to "Halcyon Hall' many different ways. Searching different ways brings up more videos, maybe someone will find something we have not found. Thanks Celeste and everyone!
