I have been to whittingham asylum and there are security, its not average police tho, its private security firms and they do patrol the area. They are currently demolishing the asylum to create room for more houses. Very few buildings remain

lol those arent mixers, those are 50 gallon steam jacket kettles. They are huge double boilers used in industrial facilites to make things like soups or as previously stated, gruel.

No problem Isabeats; the only reason I thought of it was because I went with my nephew last week! Pity about the BSS one though, I love antique carousels!

The carousel at Heritage State Park is the one that used to be in the now-defunct Mountain Park, also in Holyoke. That park closed in the late 1980s when Riverside began expanding, and has since been subject to demolition and several fires.
