I come home from having knee surgery today to a new gallery! Thank you so much for cheering me up!
The backsplash and sink-marble?
No soap dispenser....
It looks like those steps/risers are made of marble.
Just goes to show ya, if you want it to last forever, tile it...
The floor is probably covered not only with mold but the deteriorated plaster from the ceiling and walls above the tile. Man, that tile lasts forever.
Besides mold spores, the light fixture looks undamaged. It's like a retro museum. Mr. Motts, u need a good respirator for these places.
That crazy pattern on the posts looks like holiday wrapping paper my granny had once a long time ago.
I always wonder what the person was doing when they walked away from equipment for the last time.
Even the paper is intact. Wonder how long they actually used that equipment?
I agree with LarryD, belongs in a museum.
I'm pretty sure one of my aunts had chairs similar to these in her house during the 60's/70's.
Quaaludes were "downers"-barbituates I do believe, originally used as sleeping pills but quickly snapped up in the drug world. They came in 2 strengths I believe-the higher stamped with the number 714 (hence the line in the Rick James song Superfreak "in room 714 I'll be waiting"), the lower stamped with 712.
Love the comparison shots, it really gives the humanity to the place.
Ghost hunters just did the first "official" investigation here, heard some footsteps, voices, black shadows.
