Could these have been donated "gently used" suits for use by the clients who were being prepaired by their treatment teams to return to outside? To teach proper dressing, job interview skills and such?
( reason i ask is that I have a friend who works @ a local developmental/mental health facility here in Northern NJ and they are always collecting gently used business casual clothes for patients returning to the ourside world and jobs)
Hmm those look a hell of a lot better than the suits my last ex boyfriend has in his closet!!!
Nothing like a little electro~shock therapy to set you straight !
some of these photos look like this would be a great place to film a great horror flick.
Think about the Saw movies ; )

Motts I have to tell you that pigeon crap is very toxic and the dust is even worse, especially if its been there for a long time. If I were you I'd get checked by a doctor. It might take a while but you can still have health problems related to that. Hope everything is OK. http://www.nyc.gov/htm...epi/epi-pigeon.shtml http://www.idph.state..../hb/hbb&bdrp.htm

Erus is quite correct - this machine was used for ECT and the missing component is an oscilloscope.

apple, it's obvious! They use these suits to make those hideous pictures of "happily-dancing" inmates.

For the purposes of the study this would normally have been described under the "Subjects" section. Since all I can find is an abstract, I don't know what their reference group was. Probably people who had not been diagnosed as having psychosis, a psychotic break, or schizophrenia as defined at the time of the study.

It's "Gabby Bear." Google image it.

I love how your pictures show and feel the absence of people all the while giving the impression that someone just stepped out of the room. Your photos are so wonderful and absolutely adore how you give history life once again.
