I'm a Detention Officer for Anne Arundel County, and seeing these old abandoned places makes my skin crawl. I couldn't imagine working in an environment like that, crowded to almost twice its capacity. On the main page you said this place had a capacity of ~3000 but held over 5000 in 1970s, we only have 700 right now and we're pretty close to capacity. Crazy difference between state and county level prisons.
