The door does look skinny when you look at the opening and the amount of wood under the hardware. Is it only a partial door? You can see brick behind it. On the other doors you could tell it was bigger than the opening, but this one looks odd.

I suspect the paintings were done in oil paint and the walls in latex. The oils would hold up better to the temperature changes that make the latex paints peel.

Great shot-the booth had to have been a later addition since movies had not yet been invented when the place was built. Even much later, when huge movie palaces wher being built, there were times when a theater was underway and they planned for everything but a projection booth! You'd have to add it anyway you could.
