If you look closely at this image and are the kind of person (like me) who's actually trying, you will notice two faces here, one obvious and one you have to gaze for a minute to conjure up. The first is the face already mentioned that's sort of to the right. You can see one of the eyes near the middle on the right, sort of hair looking stuff and a forehead just to the right of / just above that, and a nose and a mouth a bit below and to the left. Looks like someone with a mustache.
For the enthusiast of creepy things who's willing to stare at it for a moment, you will notice the teeth of a widely smiling human skull slightly below the very midst of the window, and an empty eye socket up and to the right of that. If you REALLY look, you can see another eye socket to the left and a smudge of a nose in the middle.
OMG...I had that same stuffed raccoon when I was a kid!
Actually I still have mine; I don't mean that I owned THIS stuffed animal, but wow. When I saw the photo my jaw dropped and I shouted "Hey! That's my raccoon!" LOL
For what it's worth, I never bonded with him...I thought he was ugly, but because he was given to me by a relative I felt like I had to keep him on display. I still think he's ugly and I'm not sure why I've kept him all these years. I didn't even bother to name him, and I didn't play with him or hold him. I had other animals that I liked a lot better.
Wow, is it just me or does the word 'medication' seem to be the root of all of the problems to begin with. You can just about imagine the number of drugs these patients were on back then. Im all for drugs that help with life threatening conditions but usually ones that are designed to intervene in psychological behavior make things worse.
Wonderful photos! I've spent the last few days looking at them (in fact, I even left a meeting at work early to go back to my office to fit in one more set).
I don't know how I didn't find this site sooner - I look at my internet life as Life Before Motts and Life After Motts. :)
Nice exposure control on this shot. I am now bummed about not getting in here when I was out on LI. I spent the day running around Kings Park with friends, and when security started at 3 or 4 or whatever it was I headed over here alone and hit the starburst building. I wish I had had more time to do this one as well!
