i live bout 2 mins from st margarets wen i was younger i used to go dwn in da houses and the under ground tunels u wudnt believe me but there is a tunel tht takes u from st margarets to red house park. i feel sorry for the person who knocks dwn the tree on the left hand side of this house aswel did u know their have been sightings of a girl in this house from wot i now there as bin sum freaky shit happen in this house
born and lived in great barr all my life used to try and get into grounds when we were kids security used to be very tight. if we got caught we would be arrested.never did though, came close.in the 70's and 80's it used to house some nasty inmates
yes i know st margrets hospital i was there in the 1950 it was a beautiful place the great hall we had dances and we had concerts which i loved i sang on the stage there so sad that such a lovely place has allmost gone brings back lots of memorys does anyone know the where abouts of dr buckan who ran the place in thoses days i cryed when i saw the pics of the place well thanks for lisening bye sheila

I have a tear in my eye as I looked through those pictures. I remember the hall befre it was fir damaged and left to go to ruin, it was an amazing building, and the hospital, my mother worked there in the early 70s my farther would take us there to pick her up from work, we would run around the hospital and grounds. It is such a shame to see it like it is in the pictures, even though now it is a housing estate.
