The way the paint peeling looks makes it feel as if a patient went ballistic with blood on their hands and just started to claw at the walls in hopes of being let out, gives a creepy feeling like something was in the room with the patient.

This picture makes me feel as if I'm a warewolf seeking shelter or flying through the weeds to the tower.

I love this picture, it's suitably creepy, I'd love to be able to go beyond those doors and into the darkness.

I took an amateurish picture on my phone a few months ago of a pair of doors in my local hospital, just through the grubby plastic windows in these doors you could see sterile whiteness, think it might have been a morgue!

I just think it is cool how the broken piece seems to form a cross. Pray now, for all hope is lost to those who get their hair styled in this joint.

Great shot and wonderfully appropriate title - a perfect reference to the 1948 classic movie "The Snake Pit," about a mental hospital, starring Olivia de Havilland. I guess insane asylums were at one time called "snake pits" as a slang term, though I haven't ever heard that in recent years.
