"Cold table" is a good title. Ever plop your carcass on one of these wearing nothing but a hospital gown? The peeling paint is the first sign of decay I've seen. I hope this building remains frozen in time & doesn't fall victim to vandals.
Never played it but I know what it is! (I am from Scranton PA)
And yes...this was in my dream, though I don't quite remember the details since it WAS a while ago. I just know that I was in some kind of institution and as a daytrip we went bowlng and the lanes are DEAD on to this one. Kind of ironic that this picture is IN an institution isn't it?
Thank you Motts for bringing my nightmare alive. :) Good eye though!
BKW--I would think if there WERE an emergency or disaster that a lot of people would be trampled to death. That isn't good. DEF. not up to code by today's standard I am sure.
The tile is so clean. It looks like they walked away yesterday. I'm sure it's durable & easy to clean but it sure lacks the character & craftsmanship of older buildings.
Maybe the tiled one was for patients, the one with the red overhang was for staff lectures and presentations and this wood panelled one was for doctors?? Thanks again for a great gallery Mr. Motts. I look forward to the next one, soon I hope.
Thanks for the before picture, it adds a lot. Once again, Mr. Motts your eye is excellent, in tilting your shot to add more angles to those in the walls and windows...so much more interesting than taking the photo straight, as one normally would.
You're right, Ferdy, I hadn't noticed that. With all those seats and only one aisle on one side, I'm sure that would be a building code violation, today anyway. In an emergency, I'm sure lots wouldn't get out. (I work with disaster planning.)
