I just hope that beautiful fireplace is in safekeeping and not stolen by someone who will not appreciate it
These buildings were truly built with care and individuality back then. I hate these cookie cutter pieces of carp they have nowadays. They could have saved these buildings BUT they have to get them when they first close. 20 years later is too late. I live in AL and I know of a beautiful old 1800's mental institute that is vandalized to the point of being totally unrecognizable.
I sure wish I could investigate this place! Would take days to cover the whole place (like security would allow that, lol). I can dream anyway. All hospitals are haunted, not just this one.

Anyone else thinking Professor X? :P
The trees impressive, but I think the gothic revival hood is durn pretty too.
Were I used to work, we had rooms just about like this for people who couldn't stand. They were washed up (by us) in specialized wheel chairs or gurneys. That's why the space is so big--moving a gurney around to get it positioned right is a toe-smashing (your toes I mean) prospect.
It loks exactly like teh equipment cleaning room at the place I used to work.

I just have 1 word... Creepy.

If I would spent one night in this hospital, for any reason I would be shitting my pants, I might even get a heartattack. It gives me the chills brrr.

I just don't understand why everything looks like it is left in hurry. I know it is abandoned for some reason, but it feels to me something really bad has happened. Creeepy.

I even like the rounded edges of the corners in the room. All these little details blow me away :)
