Probably rodent type animals hauled it up there. You would be surprised how much stuff the squirrels, mice, rats, and raccoons can haul around. Where I work at least 3 staff have had to bring their cars to the repair shop because the excelorators were sticking...the mechanic found walnuts stuck in them!
