It's funny Canada, because the new transformers movies transformers 2 at 55 minutes in the movie the shot mright before they drop the car and that whole scene after that takes place is supposed to take place in there.

I work in generation engineering and the scary thing is that in my state there are many plants running today that still have control rooms like this. The "New" computerized control in the power industry is cold war era computers.... This stuff is the first generation of controls; ran on compressed air. If you walk in that switchgear, you'll get a few even cooler pictures...
