Most of the doors on the patchiest rooms were or are wood. On some of the floors all the doors are missing and on others they are open.

The bridge in the photo is I 79.

It's unfortunate that I won't beable to visit this place, as it will have been demolished before my next trip back to Pittsburgh. Looked to be in great condition.

With the paint peeling like that, it looks like it says "Heathen Room."

Yes, Dixmont dose have a lot of windows, and allows a vast amount of sunlight in during the day.
No doubt it was sadly dark for many.
