Perhaps the old wheelchair was in storage until the entire building became "storage". Or it might've still been a good wheelchair, it was pretty comfortable and still rolled around pretty good...

Pardon my ignorance, but why would this building have both an antique wooden wheelchair and a more modern fold up version? Was there a reason to why they kept such old versions of a wheelchair in use?
It kind of makes me think of a patient kneeling to pray and looking up at the sky.
