I love the style of this photo. Of the rust of the basketball hoop and the bright green of the leaves and the red of the brick. Very Nice! : )

I worked on an ambulance that was in there frequently. We had to pass through a gate with a similar set up.

Wow. I love this shot. Seriously on my top 3. And that;'s a hard place to get. lol.

But seriously, this shot took my breath away. It must have been what the prisoners felt like...

Plus the foggyness, and the green with the wonderful, tall window. Just wow.

Great job.

Interesting shot. Nice angle, sort of showing that this place is old, and lonesome. Tom I think the original brick was painted over white, probably for a final seal or just cause they wanted everything to be white or whatever color it happened to be.

First glance I thought the red was dried blood or something similar. Also, it seems it's pretty scattered and messy for a prison cell. I wonder what everyone did, and if...no there probably WAS some innocent souls suffering in silence (or not) in there....

This reminds me of that creepy dream sequence on the t.v. series "Twin Peaks."
Where a dwarf(?) was dancing and speaking backwards to Agent Cooper and Laura Palmer.
Odd how the chairs are arranged. Looks like the table didn't want to be in their company ,so it just walked away.
Just Jeff I read that you have interest in the civil war. i can connect you with the only company that made the Hard Tack crackers, I believe he makes crates like they use to use. Gosh I hope that came out right.

oooooh, i do just love fireplaces!!!
LOL, that was funny VP.

Motts, I can honestly say that i love what you have done with this picture. It just pop's out at you.

Also, i didn't see if it was mentioned but the stuff on top of the cart are most likely silk roses. My grandmother has silk flowers all over her house and as soon as i looked at them, i knew what they were. The way they are colored are wierd though. The green part are the leaves and the pink would be the flowering part.

Maybe those buffet tables on the right were for the workers -- free food.
It almost looks like a stage straight down. No curtains, though, on the windows.

Your right its a jail but how many times you think the workers called in sick?????

This is so depressing -- can you imagine eating here with those overhead pipes. Oh, well, it was a jail, after all!!
