Wow, I remember this now as I was 12 when I last rode it for the last time in the early 70"s and it looks pretty much the same in this old photo. The riding cart I recollected banged through the doors and it went back outside and then up then through the doors again and it was a cool ride. So did they tear it down and scraped it or did they place it in a auction I wondered? Memories will live forever with good times with family back then.
Pac-Man, anyone?
Another Mulder sighting
What's hiding under that tarp?
How freakin' cool it'd be to walk around this place! Abandoned & creepy all rolled into one!
Disturbingly looks like an uncoiling snake

these pics just tear me up. I always lived in mass but the rest of the family lived in and around woonsocket and my brother and when were little we would go there every summer with my aunts. I can remember being there as young as 3 and I am now 32 . My brother is living out of state and my beloved aunt died of cancer back in 2002. Thespics sure bring up alot of bittersweet memories and I'm sure I'm not alone.
That's old school horror!

Just wanted to point out, in googling 'The Dreamland Park Murders' this page was the 6th result.
4th if you don't include multiple pages of the same site coming up.

Now onto the picture: it's odd to see only the shell of the carousel. It leave behind surprisingly little

it was the game facination. the players would roll small rubber balls up wooden ramps from a sitting position. the balls would fall thru one of 24 holes at the top of the ramp that were lined up in rows forming a grid. each hole had its own value. whoever got a block or a full row in his grid first would win the round. the value of the winning holes were added up which determined the value of the prize to be given out.
