Doesnt it make you want to find a broom?
This photo looks like something out of a Stephen King novel. Creepy!
OMG that's freaky weird. :/ I've never been there but I am interested in stuff like that. I've seen a run -down school. I have no idea why it is closed. The swings and stuff are rusty and falling apart. It's sad.
You can order this d.v.d now through the farm's site as well as some other items.
This money goes towards relocating structures to the farm, repairing, and preserving this enchanting past.

Hi Jenn,
It's ok to look through the fence, but Mott's is right, it is illegal to enter the property - and no one wants to ruin it for Clark's Farm. - They are still working on saving what ever they can.
you can vivit the site that Motts posted here too - it has lots of current info. ( thanks Motts!)

The farm always has an E. F. celebration twice each year. One in the Spring, and one in August, near the actual anniversary/Birthday date of the original E. F.'s opening day. This year it's on August 11-12, 2007. They are encouraging folks to bring their old pics from visiting at The E. F. - Once Upon A Time.
Hope you can make it to the celebration!

i have no clue about this place but i do know that their were two amusement parks in my town that were closed and demolished a long time before i was even thought of but it is wonderful to see the old pictures of the families in happier times i wish i could have gone to them now their is not even a marker where they once stood it seems everything with any historical signifigance? sp in my town has been torn down to build parking lots and as an avid history buff it saddens me i wish i could have seen the places i read about because we had the largest industrial complex of its kind outside of Krup, Germany which was destroyed by fire in 1909
All the photos were painfully beautiful, if that is possible. They were amazing, haunting, wild... I miss EF and all the innocence of that time. Thank you!

This shot reminds me of the climactic sewer sequence of the 1949 film The Third Man.

I used to go to The Enchanted Forest all the time as a kid - That hole had Alice in Wonderland falling through it when you looked up.

The B&Ws through the fog really give a sense of what has become of the original park. It breaks my heart to know I can't take my own children there. We would go at least once a year. Enchanted Forest was the most amazing, magical place for us. I loved the Ali Baba ride, Sleeping Beauty's castle, the Alice in Wonderland ride/attraction, the safari ride...I loved everything about the place!

I'm so glad to see the farm is restoring everything it can, but I still wish I could take my own kids.

Is it possible for anyone to walk around the old place, or is that a problem? We have family in Northern Virginia, and I think a day trip to the farm is reasonable, but I was wondering if we could see the old park as well.

Thank you so much for the beautiful, eerie pictures that remind me of another time in my life. I am sharing this link!

These pictures bring back so many memories for me. I LOVED the slide on Mt. Vesuvius. We used to bring waxed paper so we could go faster down the long, HOT, metal slide.

And fishing in Tom Sawyer's pond! They'd give you a fishing pole with corn or something on it, and I think you could fish untnil you caught one of the little fish. Catch & release of course, but it was fun!
I remember the Noah's Ark, it was very dark inside & at one point if you stood on the wrong bit of the floor some cow's leg's would shoot out & nearly kick you!

I was last there in 2002, I didn't go in but it seemed to be as I remember it from the outside.
