Wish i could join you rose
I worked at the Pines Hotel during the summers of 1970-1976. I was the staff waiter and primarily served the bands, entertainers, athletic staff, card room staff, etc. I still have an autographed picture of Lynda Carter from the summer of 1970. She was the hottest thing in the Catskills that summer. I gained a lifetime worth of experience during those summers, Christmas breaks and one Passover that I worked. I have endless stories that would take a novel to express them all. My brother, Bruce also worked at the hotel and my wife Dyan Dannheisser worked as a counselor and cocktail waitress there as well. I have been practicing podiatric medicine and surgery for the past 28 years, the last 21 in Miami (Kendall). I even treated Bernie Cove (the maitre d') at my office in Miami. His daughter made him a great 70th birthday party at her home in Miami. One of my best friend's remains Jeff Savran who also worked in the dining room during those years and is a podiatrist in Boca Raton, Florida now. Anyone desiring to communicate with me can reach me at lid52@bellsouth.net. Great memories! A tragedy what has become of the hotel property and the area in general.

Enter those who dare. I thank you for your daring nature. For without it, we would not have these wonderful pictures!

I'm dating myself, but this almost looks like what we used to call "harvest gold" and then there was the "avocado green" both lovely choices in the 70's (I'm kidding about the lovely part). Great picture!! Thanks.

Im going to try and get to the Pines this summer. I have gotten into taking pics, and just enjoy exploring. I am going to take a "big" friend along, just in case the place is not completely abandoned, or if one of us falls thru a floor.

They have to go to waste since they do everything to keep everyone out of there

i think its a cute little bathroom, but the thing that is so creepy is that it is so clean, no dust or rust or anything like that.

Id buy those lights , its a shame their just gonna end up in a dumpster with some guard standing around it to make sure nobody gets nothin out of it.

Its a shame it will end up in a dumpster eventually since the place is too guarded and even the dumpster would be guarded since many of these companys guard the dumpster out of fear of being sued should someone get hurt dumpster diving
