You know, Sammy Davis Jr.'s widow,Altovise Davis,declined to take a bankruptcy when he died in the early 90's and tried to pay-off the millions he owed. She mentioned she eventually ended up in the poconos waiting on tables.("Well,I wasn't very good at it "-stiil with a sense of humor!)

A-Staff, I was a hostess in the Persian Room during '85-'87. I remember the shows, some were funny, others painful. It's amazing to see these photos, it brings back so many memories (however brief my time there.) I can't believe the place is gone. I hope everyone has moved on to better things.

kinda sad that people just abandon places like these... i would love to buy this place and turn it into something that i can reuse the hotel for.
