Probably done in the late 1950's early 60's as pink and turquoise (and black) was a popular color combination. I know, I had a 1961 Chrysler Newport with HUGE tail fins that had a tri-colored interior of just these colors. With a turquoise exterior of course. Loved it!!
It was Hines, Hines and Dad. It was Gregory and Maurice Hines and thier father. I know because my dad was Johnny Greco. I grew up in that hotel, along with Doreen!!! Although I knew more hiding places than she did!!
My Dad is and was Johnny Greco. He was te emcee at the Pines for almost 30 years. If you were part of the Garfin Gathering for any of that time - 1960-1990 - Please contact me. I'm thinking of writing a book about how cool it was growing up in the Catskills during those years!!
I grew up at this hotel. My father was the emcee for the best part of 30 years until his death in 1990. If you want to know the real story, contact me. Robnkip@aol.com Just put Johnny Greco in the subject line. I'll tell you anything you want to know about the Pines from 1970-1990

I tried explaining this to my children but they couldn't understand. Seeing the abandoned and broken down buildings just broke my heart. I couldn't imag
lennycrane@ine the tremendous amounts of people and activities just suddenly coming to an end. It can't be described. Unless you were there, there's no way you would ever understand. A legacy, gone forever! I love you Catskills! lennycrane@gmail.com
Okay, just since everyone is fussing over the Rm. 666 key - the shelf above it is 630, the 666 key is in the 642 box - a difference of 12 , so there are 12 boxes between rows; the 666 key should have been put directly two rows down.
i loved sitting under these dryers! you'd get so warm and comfortable and almost fall asleep. you could feel the heat blowing through your curlers. it was almost orgasmic!
