I just re-arranged the settings on my Blog so that anybody can comment on the pictures. Not just other Blog owners

It's long and tedious at times, but fascinating too. Worth the effort. It's like shopping at a bargain clothing store. You've got to dig through piles of rubbish to find the gems. If you have patience, you will be rewarded.

What about the poor sots who come too late and never understand the soap dispenser references?? There's context to all of the discussions that would be lost without the background information. From an archeological perspective, it's like examing the evolution of a culture.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I came up with two ways to go about it.

All comments sit for two or three months, then get deleted.

Every photo is allowed 25 comments. Once that figure is reached, either the older ones 'fall off' or the thread is 'locked'.

Would it be helpful to Motts' bandwidth to delete a lot of our old comments (with the exception of the really funny ones?) or to eliminate the comments that are so badly mutilated that no one can read them?

My, this IS bad. Too bad we psychs aren't allowed to do therapy over the Internet. Someone around here could get rich quick. ;-)

I still say we need to convince Motts to accept money for all this bandwidth usage. What say you?

I've been ignoring forums I used to write on. I'm barely posting anything on my Blog, and paying a little less attention to my Yahoo groups as well. I have to keep coming here. I keep thinking I'll find some new revelation about some pic we discussed last week (as happened this morning)
