what Lynne was saying is not only correct, but there was an exact color that was used in many institutions that had to be discontinued for the very reasons she stated, though from what i recall, the phrase "more insane," not "more revved up" was used.
the name of the color (presumably this one) was/is called Baker's Pink.

Weird, looks like an old ballroom to me. I have to agree with Java, the "air vent" looks like where a chandelier was once hung.

Yeah, I've noticed that alot of the asylums have pink rooms. That color would drive ME insane. But then again it adds to the creepy feeling you get from these old places that are believed to be haunted.

If you mean that little white blob under the middle window (unboarded) sitting on the pile of bricks, I'm thinking it looks more like a light up snowman with a stick to roast marshmallows (with a red scarf around his neck and red buttons). But then I am a clinical psychologist, so I get paid to look for odd things like that. ;-)

Imagine sitting in that chair unable to move, left all alone with that darkness behind you? I would rather be facing it. Imagining myself in that chair is crazy, i get chills.
