The hallway looks like it gets smaller as it goes up. I am not claustrophobic but imagining myself in that hallway freaks me out.
I find this one really disturbing aswell, not just the claustrophobic feel but the color, the way it looks like claw marks on the wall, the whole thing.I think just looking at pictures of these places transmits a tiny bit of the negative energy in them into your mind.

Very interesting. Definetly looks like some kind of ventilator.

There is just so much life behind those walls, all of the secrets of what could of went on there.. All of the dark things with the people that had hazy minds.

you photographs are beautiful. The way you take the shadows of the building and angles look amazing. You are very talented.

I know - who'da thunk it? I had no idea they were ever that big. I also had no idea that ventilators were only developed in the early to mid-50's. I guess I thought they had been around for a lot longer.

I think its because the chairs look exactly the same, giving the feeling of a long exposure shot where the chair moved its self.

maybe its just me?

Scott, MaDMaN, Amanda, Cyrus, and Bratty got it - it's an old ventilator (also called a respirator)!

"Jefferson Ventilator

Originally designed in 1955 as an improvement of the Allbritten designed the previous year. A Classic bag in bottle ventilator, made by Air-Shields Inc in the USA. This one was bought in 1962 for cardio thoracic surgery."

I don't feel like it's a ventilator because it's too big and there aren't any gauges.

It looks like it's missing some parts. I keep thinking it was used for suction?
