I was exploring the basement in my apartment building the other day. We have a room with fire system pumps and pipes and a big metal lid in the floor. I immediately thought of "the hole" at Glenn Dale Hospital LOL. Anyway, with a shovel I pried open the lid and wouldn't you know it, it looks like the same damn scary hole. Ours is about 2.5 feet in diameter with a drop pipe off to the side just like in the picture, and goes down roughly 7 to 10 feet deep. It is rigged up with a high-low level alarm. Sump pump, water well or fire system reservoir, I really don't know!
great pics...we smoked alot of boat up in that place during the 80s... definitely haunted yo

My friends and I went last night and nothing crazy happend. Yeah, it was creepy just because it's an old complex, but all of those stories I read from earlier postings seem bogus. And the cops are definately on the prowl

Amytiville 3 with Lori Loughlin and Meg Ryan...that's what i thought of when I saw this pic. The greenish hue to the water reminds me of the hole in the basement of the Amytiville house in part 3...not a good thing at all!!

it would suck to fall down there. all dark and stuff. scare the crap outta me. creepy but cool to!

The Auditorium was used for Medical Staff Meetings and educational movies and training. I saw a movie there once on surgical proceedures.

I worked at Glenn Dale Hospital in the 1950's. I think maybe the tunnels you all mention are the basement offices, etc. My office was in the basement near the Morgue and Kitchen.

That's a beautiful shot, Mr. Motts... The lack of symmetry is striking... Alternatively, it reminds me of a certain Giger painting...
