i stil like it, would have been even better if there would have been really good grafitti...kinda looks like a spray can had been strapped to a giant chicken leg....but it was good none the less...go back out there and give it another shot, i bet it would turn out alot better...

That's a sub-reflector, in the center of the antennas primary reflector there is a large "post" (called a feed horn) that houses the LNA's (Low Noise Amplifiers). You have it right in your description I just wanted to add the industry terms of the parts. Great photos and thanks for sharing them. I should have visited this place before I left Maryland...

The inside would consist of a large space in the base and a small room near where the dish pivots, which still holds some electronic equipment... I returned last year in the day time and I have photos, but who knows when I will be able to get to them... I'm sure there are others on the web somewhere though.

if anybody reads this and has older pics please post them on here or something im tryna find out more about the history of this iv'e been on that satellitle many of times but it's just been recently not when the buildings were up i also heard there was underground places but they put concrete in which i've never seen because i've only been their in the dark . peace
