now that i think of it, ive never seen any carpet in this place.

The children and toddlers in here were very regressed. They basically stuck them in beds all day and never took them out to teach them how to walk or anything. poor kids.

I never got chased by anyone but the police...
and as for the reels...how did you watch them in Pennhurst? The movie projector in the auditorium dosent work anymore.

You couldnt have taken them home to watch, then not know where you brought them back to. and why would the staff make tapes of themselves doing those things to the patients? Its basically just like admitting that you abuse the patients. Its evidence for court. That wouldnt be too smart.

I doubt these movies exist.

yea theres a bunch htat live in the stairwells, and they chase us too...but we dont care that much, considering they make holes in the walls and fences, and also open doors. that helps us kids alot

isn't it possible that the power is still on in some buildings and that some kids or something turned the lights on when they where there exploring?

Pretty darn good flourscents otherwise!

hey sam did you ever run into any hobos back there me and my friends used to get chased back by them it was pretty creepy but i know what you are talking about those reels i heard about it but never found them.
Ok , I took a look at the pictures , didn't find them all that disturbing and also looked at the newsreel , although I could barely make anything out. I worked at Pennhurst from 1975 until 1986 and although some of the pictures were what Pennhurst was like when I started it was not like that when I was layed off. Renovations had occurred and large sleeping areas were now cubicles with usually 2 to a cubby. Better furniture, etc. Look, I'm not saying Pennhurst was an ideal place to be and at times probably was a hell hole but what I am saying is that when Pennhurst closed it was nothing like these pictures that get everyone so upset. It changed with the times just like everything else. Anyway I'm done now. Believe what you want.
