Hey everyone, What up! Why is this pic being called a tunnel, last I remember they were called hallways. Tunnels are access holes that take you from point A to point B, and to the best of my knowledge, they also are underground. NOT!
HALLWAYS = ABOVE GROUND
TUNNELS = BELOW GROUND
It's the design of the toilet....rather than have the water flow come from top or back, there is a large outlet for the flush to come from the front...supposedly more efficient for flushing...common on institutional commodes where you had a good deal of water pressure and didn't have to worry about the vagaries of gravity fed systems. Hey, lookie me, I am the Lynne of bathroom fixtures! (No offense meant, Lynne).
I have to admit, not knowing any of the history of the place....I like the external architecture. In a metropolitan area, it probably would have been turned into condo lofts....Could you imagine?
I second Aimee. Lynne, I never imagined that I would learn so much about human caring from this wonderful photographic site. Although your posts are long on occasion, I look forward to grabbing up my coffee cup, taking a sip, and thinking, "Let's see what Lynne has to say on the matter." Brava!
Holy Creepfest!!! But God I LOVEEE how either the flash or the natural or artificial light was set up!!! SO perfect and gives SOOOO much emotion to the photo. Another truly amazing piece of work.
i was just there today, but i only made it into keystone. my friend and i were caught walking around but we weren't fined because they didn't catch us in a building. it was so cool! i'd love to go back at night but if we get caught again, they said we'd be arrested. it's not that it was eerie because the windows are enormous and it was light out, but it was fascinating! they should definitely do tours. show people how far we have (hopefully) come. beautiful property, buildings, etc. i loved it
