The issue isn't graffiti, the issue is preservation: preserving the history as it was. Looking at pics of the VTech Steam Tunnels, there's great history in the graffiti from decades ago--it added context to the exploration. However, context is key: graffiti by patients would be interesting, but graffiti by asshats would be intrusive.

i beleave i was housed in building 22 for me it was a house of horras that will forever live in my mind, abuese"s beatings beatings and more beatings, THAT is the treatment the staff treated the childern of building 22 too, some staff members wanted to make sure i learned about sex and took it apon him self to teach me and who could i tell , if i told any one i would be in big troble!!! yes he would be fired but i would still pay for not keeping silent. some times i would heair an other boy cry out in the middle of the night help me g-d or for his mother we were childern and got treated to some of the worst treatment post world war two. i want the world to know that even these are not the worst crimes comitted on the childern as if all of this wasen"t enough, yes they did radiation exprierments on us!!!

Its certainly not your old school Kirkbride but I still say their is a definite beauty in even these, now old and history filled buildings.

the frist day ,i was 6.5 years old i was there becrose of a misake made at mount sani hospital , i was given an over dose of meds and went into a coma and my parents were told that i was very sick and woulden"t be able to funtion normally and i shuold be put in this hole for the rest of my life all to cover up for an accedent of an other boy who fell and hit yhe back of his head on the ground and i think the fall was fatal they overdosed me to keep me quiet!!! back too day one, the staff wanted to let me know who the boss was so mr datallo beat me to unconous he then brook the window in my room and it stayed that way for weeks it was repaired and broken again the same day so for 2 mounths i felt the cold of the howling winds every night !!!

i will tell you frist hand , YES this truely is what it looks like!!! a place were some of the worst sex crimes on childern happened, i was one of those unfortionit childern, all of these buildings are places of shame for the people of new york state, pape on childern took place every day !!! beatings also came the there special treatment s iam posting this after 38 years becrose i want the people of the state of new york to know that the childern they have protected are having to live some of the worst memorys post world 2 i would like to also mention the radiation expirerments prefromed on the childern in the childerns building in 1963 -1964 shame shame shame!!!

i was a patent in this hell hole !!!! i would like to see it thorn down so it would no longer exist!!!! the state puts people in jail these days for the many crimes of diferent types commited on the patents. i would like to publish a expozzia you cant beleave the hell on earth it was!!
