If the person who cut that horrible hole in the mural calls himself a "preservationist," he should be hauled in for misappropriating a title. It would have been much better to carefully photograph the murals and leave them to the elements. That or take the whole murals down.

Why do morgues make people freaky? We all die. It's our reward for a life well lived.

that attic does smell really bad, and its like a hundred degrees at 2 in the morning
Very sad. When my Scottish Terrier, Hamish, passed on, he chose underneath the computer table, which was one of his favorite spots. Maybe the drawer was once this cat's favorite place. I've looked at this picture many times, and spent some time wondering about the cat; was it feral, was it a stray, was it abandoned?

RIP little guy.

It's a great picture, but the bars on all the windows make it look so much like a prison. Can you imagine what it was like to live in one of those small rooms, gazing out the window, imagining your dreams that are not coming true.

Another great gallery of photos Motts. I still have many, many to look through. I agree with someone's else's post above. I also wonder how many patients or staff have looked outside this same window. It does make one wonder doesn't it?? Thanks again Motts.....

If this is some kinda office I don't think I'd want to work there. It doesn't appear that nice really. Maybe it was better in its day....but well not now.....

yeah me too i freakin luv this place
Funny I seen the same thing at Belchertown State School.
If someone actually locked that poor cat up in that drawer I am totally down with the idea of locking them in the morgue. Tied up and gagged so they couldn't make a ruckus.
