my in laws have the exact same water tower at their factory/tannery/dying plant in MA. There was a crew that went around the north east building them. Really cool to see another one.

I wasn't in all the buildings, but most seemed really cleaned out and void of everything save for a few tools.

As well as laying down casks of whiskey here, is there any distillation equipment? This looks very interesting with all it's stranged shaped piping in copper.

Yep, pretty sure it's a 6-71. You can see the hand screws on the valve cover to hold it down. That way if the injector rack got stuck you could unscrew the valve cover and pull the rack back manually to keep it from flying apart. 53 series didn't have that, and I don't think 92 series had that either. You usually won't find a 53 or 92 in anything but a "V" configuration.

I'm with Truckie and jpsepp, looks like an old 6-71 Detroit, you can see the air box covers on the side. There should be a blower on the other side of the block if someone hasn't run off with it. Two strokes like this are relics of days before hippies and the EPA brought the Hammer of Emmisions down on industry.
