The fixture is beautiful. The old ceiling medallion is most likely worth a small fortune.

This blue and the green,yellow, and pink of other pictures are what we affectionately call "hospital colors". They were supposed to be calming. Yuck!

I think Binky is right. The lines of the different strips of wallpaper are visible especially on the left side. Still not an attractive color scheme.

I also immediately saw a priest. Funny how our mind picks up details and makes assumptions.

What an interesting gallery and to top it off with this photo. To add, I think this series could have been titled, "Amused by Mattresses," or "Mystified by Mattress." ;-)
