Darlene, from up here, this is the mezzanine, one would go down the stars behind the camera and to the lower seats. And if you look close you can see steps to the stage, those do come from the lower seating area. This is a pretty nice auditorium actually, at least I think. Hope that clears things up Darlene:)

I don't care for this auditorium. The orchestra pit and stage are not accessible from the audience. In my high school, there were steps on either side of the stage that led to the stage. So, for instance, is a student was receiving an award they could just walk up those steps and be on the stage. This separation between audience and stage seems very impersonal to me.

It's the name of a standardized test, which means the test is administered and scored the same across the nation, so it doesn't have to do much with California, other than (I suppose) its origins.

Wonder why so many copies of the California Achievement Test would be found in a school in Alabama.

...oh i loved going to school and would have loved to study in a schoolbuilding like this with wooden stairs; no nobs on hand-rail, haha - good; transom-windows and some six panelled doors, and painted cream and blue, all hues shades and tints all around. And an assembly Every Morning.
