hi, i'm a court administrator. i deal with records destruction all the time. Medical records are not kept indefinitely. Every state has different laws regarding their destruction and what is to be done away with. In this case, it's unlikely any of those patients are even still alive and if so, the content is probably limited at best anyway.
The room appears to have been remodeled in the '70s, (plain cabinets, light fixtures, glue-in-place ceiling tiles) so a battery powered clock wouldn't be out of place, it appears its back or attachment is still in place, so it might still be under all of those tiles.
that poor bird saw something unheard and then flipped its wing and fell to its death, the poor bird. Seeng it there deceased make me sad. wonder why doctor feline did not move the bird!
my granny back in 1959 to 1967 had a sink very similar to this one. One evening I was brushing my teeth and I leaned on said sink, and since it had no reinforcemnents neneath, only the elbow pipe into the wall, the blame sink fell into me, and it was heavy for a small child. I cried and hence forth, I stayed clear of old sinks as that one.
Gee, like catlea, I thought it was a hallway since it being so narrow. This room when it was filled with all those cots, it would be a tight space. Gee.
Those wings seem so small, did they house children or youth in these places? of course could have been a small adult. At first I thought it an angel that had lost its head. These angel wings give a somber feeling within.
I mostly read unless there is a comment to make and I just wanted say...could it be like a clock with batteries? I had a clock on my wall battery powered, and when I took it down recently aftering being on the wall for a few years, it left a clear place that was not faded as my wall had become. Either I get a new wall paper, or cover the spot with a picture.
Chairs! and more chairs! I have visited Verdan Psychiatric Hosital, Adonia State Hospital via Motts' site, and there is something about these chairs the hospitals all have, and many of them sit within an archway full of light. Did the sunlight calm these patients you guess? Or maybe the staff liked basking in the sunshine on their breaks.
